It was a wedding weekend like none other. We first met with Shannon and Luke this past year as we ventured around the high country that means so much to them. Their love grew deep here and it seemed only fitting that they vowed forever together on top of this beautiful peaks. Sky Retreat boasts one of the best views we’ve ever seen and it created the perfect backdrop for these two. From hand lettered quotes from The Princess Bride, to the beautiful reception space transformed into a timeless and beautiful escape. One of our favorite moments in this day is when Shannon and Luke walked into the cheers and congratulations from the people they hold most dear. The joy, the pure and unadulterated excitement on Shannon’s face is one that we won’t soon forget, and shows that when you let people in and hold them close, all you need is their celebration. Alongside that beautiful celebration, we worked with some of the best vendors that this industry has to offer. Our blog writing is usually reserved for the people who get married, but a special mention has to go to the team that Shannon and Luke brought together. They went with their gut, hired the people who they deemed did their job best (for which we are truly humbled) and what happened was a sense of teamwork that we truly was some of the best we’ve ever experienced.

You’ll see the weather change, the wind blow, the joy be consistent, and their love stand firm in such pure ways as the images below take you on such a marvelous adventure. Enjoy. Also, you can pick up an issue of the newest High Country Wedding Guide to see this wedding in print!
