The quiet. The in-between. The fleeting. The moments that most wouldn’t take a second look at are the moments that I chose to live in throughout 2015. Last year was one of adventure. I took a real grasp on my business, locked down what I wanted to create, and found people who wanted to create that with me. In the days, months, timelines, meetings, and engagement shoots that filled space before these beautiful wedding days, I found a subtle but necessary strength. One that fueled me and reminded me that inclusiveness is a part of my heartbeat, so it should be a part of the legacies that I’m trusted to help build. From new friends, to my own roommate, these couples let me into their lives in ways I never thought possible. I felt like family, I felt like a member of their wedding party; and at the end of the day, the “thank you” text messages I received as they drove off into their next adventure were all I needed. I can not, and will not, take 2015 for granted because this was the year that I truly found myself in my business. And for that, with these couples in hand, I say “thank you” to each and every one of you who made this past year a reality. Year 3, one for the books indeed.
